General Troubleshooting
ADSL LED not lit on Modem
If the ADSL LED is not lit on your modem this indicates that the modem is not detecting an ADSL signal on your telephone line. Please follow the steps below to perform an Isolation Test.
- Restart your ADSL modem. If after 5 minutes the ADSL LED does not light up go to step 2.
- Disconnect all telephones and/or faxes from their telephone sockets.
- Connect the ADSL modem directly to the telephone socket. (Bypass any filters or splitters)
- Restart the ADSL modem
If after the steps above the ADSL LED lights up, then the issue is most likely a splitter, filter, phone or fax machine. Reconnect each splitter, filter, phone or fax one by one, checking the ADSL LED after each is connected. When the ADSL LED goes out you will need to check the last thing you reconnected.
If after the steps above the ADSL LED is still not lit contact Voipex support for further assistance.
